East Antrim needs a strong voice in the Assembly - McMullan

13 April, 2016 - by Oliver McMullan

Sinn Féin's Oliver McMullan has said it is vital East Antrim continues to have a strong nationalist voice in the Assembly.

Speaking at the launch of his Assembly election campaign, Mr McMullan said;

"East Antrim has huge potential in terms of tourism, the economy, agriculture, education, and facilities for our young people to name a few.

"I have worked tirelessly with my Sinn Fein colleagues in the Assembly and Executive over the last 5 years to realise that potential.

"Tourism is vital to this constituency and I have championed the concept of a Causeway Coast Corridor to attract more visitors from abroad but also from within the island.

"As a rural area, I have worked closely with Agriculture Minister Michelle O'Neill to deliver £95 million to East Antrim over the last five years.

"Clearly, East Antrim is better with Sinn Féin and in order to ensure the Assembly continues to deliver for this area it is vital we have a strong nationalist voice at Stormont."
