McCorley raises concerns over pressures on A&E department
Sinn Féin's Rosie McCorley has raised concerns about pressures at the accident and emergency department at Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital.
Ms McCorley said;
"I have been contacted by several staff who have raised concerns about the pressure on the accident and emergency department at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
"I raised these concerns with senior officials at the Belfast Trust and have requested an urgent meeting with trust chief executive Michael McBride to discuss the situation.
"Weekends are traditionally busier times at all of our accident and emergency departments and this will no doubt increase the pressure on the system.
"I will continue to monitor the situation at the Royal and consult with staff and patients over the weekend."
