Adams welcomes establishment of Dáil Housing Committee
Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams TD has welcomed the establishment of a special all-party Dáil Committee on Housing and Homelessness, a proposal initiated by Sinn Féin.
Teachta Adams said:
“I welcome the approval of the Dáil of a Sinn Féin proposal to establish an all-party Housing Committee to produce a report on solutions to the unprecedented housing crisis the State and citizen’s in need of housing face at this time.
“We look forward to working with others to produce a report with practical recommendations and solutions that can contribute to providing relief to citizens languishing in emergency accommodation and those who have been waiting on housing lists for years.
“I am pleased to say that Sinn Féin representatives on the Committee will be Deputies Eoin Ó Broin and Kathleen Funchion, as well as Maurice Quinlivan TD as an alternate member. I know that they will work to the very best of their ability to ensure meaningful action is taken to alleviate the housing crisis.”
