Maskey welcomes investigation into De La Salle School
Sinn Féin MP Paul Maskey has welcomed the decision by the Education minister to initiate an independent investigation into the ongoing issues at De La Salle school.
Mr. Maskey said,
“On Monday I presented documentation prepared by the concerned parents group to the Education Minister following which he has now decided to initiate an independent investigation.
“I welcome this decision which will hopefully identify the core issue’s which led to the current difficulties in the school and will help to ensure that the school can now move forward.
“We are very close to examination period in the school and that's a very critical time for many of the students, I want to wish them all well in their studies and I welcome the fact that there has been ongoing work in the school to improve conditions for all concerned.
“I believe that there is now a new opportunity for the school to move forward in a positive manner and I look forward to the school having a great future”.
