Britain must end veto on disclosure - Ní Chuilín
Sinn Féin's Carál Ní Chuilín has said Britain must end its veto on disclosing files relating to the conflict.
Speaking after attending a public meeting in Ardoyne tonight organised by Relatives for Justice, Ms Ní Chuilín said;
"The British government's continued use of national security as a barrier to addressing the legacy of the past is a red herring designed to cover up its role in the conflict.
"The attendance at tonight's meeting in Ardoyne shows the determination and resolve of families and their supporters to challenge the British government in their quest for truth.
"The families are demanding access to truth and Sinn Féin is standing alongside them and will continue to campaign on their behalf.
"The latest attempts by Theresa Villiers block the release of files held in the public archives shows the lengths to which the British government will go to hide the truth.
"Theresa Villiers needs to end its veto on giving families access to the truth."
