Sinn Féin seeking stronger mandate to build on progress - McGuinness
Sinn Féin's Martin McGuinness has said Sinn Féin is seeking a stronger mandate to build on the progress made in the Executive and Assembly in recent years.
Speaking at the launch of the Sinn Féin Assembly election manifesto in Derry today, Mr McGuinness said;
"Sinn Fein is committed to delivering a government that works coherently and collectively. We need equality and respect to be at the heart of how we do business and we need to deliver for people across society.
"My priority is to agree and implement a Programme for Government that grows the economy, provides proper public services and promotes equality and inclusion.
"We intend to build on our achievements - record levels of foreign direct investment and falling unemployment - while also redressing the issues which still exist in our society such as regional disparities, social disadvantage and intolerance.
"This manifesto sets out how Sinn Féin will deliver by building on the work of the last five years. You know that you can trust Sinn Féin with the political institutions, trust us with peace process and trust us to deliver."
