McCann slams those behind wanton vandalism of 10 cars

7 May, 2016 - by Fra McCann

Sinn Féin MLA for West Belfast Fra McCann has slammed the damage caused to ten cars on the Springfield Road as nothing short of wanton vandalism leaving residents to clear up with a heft bill to repair their cars.

Speaking today Mr McCann said:

“The attack on ten cars on the Springfield Road is nothing but wanton vandalism.

“It is believed the damage to these cars happened in the early hours of Friday morning.

“Car windows were smashed and items from the cars strewn across the road.

“Residents were shocked when they awoke and discovered the damage and are now left with significant cost to repair their cars.

“The scale of the damage meant that this act would have happened over a period of time.  I would urge anyone who may have seen anything suspicious the contact the PSNI. Such destruction and absolute disregard for residents cannot go unchecked.”
