Sinn Féin delegation to meet the PSNI on Belfast shootings
A Sinn Féin delegation is meeting senior police officers this morning about recent shootings in Belfast, including the murder of Dan Murray last night. The Sinn Féin delegation includes Gerry Kelly MLA, Paul Maskey MP, and MLAs Carál Ní Chuilín and Fra McCann.
Gerry Kelly said:
“Dan Murray has been killed and two other young men wounded by armed gangs over a 24-hour period in north and west Belfast.
“This follows the murders of two men in North Belfast in recent months.
“The community has rejected those behind these attacks at public demonstrations and at the ballot box and they want them to end.
“We are meeting senior police officers later today to ensure that everything is being done to bring those responsible to justice.
“We are also calling on anyone with any information about these attacks to bring it forward to the PSNI.”
