Cherry Orchard gun attack condemned
Dublin South Central Sinn Féin TD Aengus Ó Snodaigh has condemned a gun attack in Cherry Orchard last night saying it put innocent lives at risk.
Speaking today, Aengus O'Snodaigh TD said:
“A lot of young families live in this area. Last night’s shooting put innocent lives at risk. Every effort must be made to bring the attackers to justice. The new government needs to prioritise tackling gun crime in the capital.
Councillor Daithí Doolan, vice chair of Dublin's policing board, said;
"We visited residents and neighbours this morning. They are living in fear after this attack.
"Minister for Justice Frances Fitzgerald must make every resource available to Gardaí in the pursuit of the criminals behind this attack.
“Dublin's policing board has requested an urgent meeting with the minister to discuss how we can work together to tackle the ongoing criminal feud in Dublin."
