McMullan welcomes end of Woodburn drilling
Sinn Féin MLA Oliver McMullan has welcomed news that controversial drilling in Woodburn Forest near Carrickfergus has stopped.
The East Antrim MLA said;
"I welcome today's announcement that exploratory drilling at Woodburn Forest has stopped.
"There was considerable concern in the local area about the drilling and its potential impact on the environment.
"Today's announcement will be widely welcomed by the local community and all those who opposed the drilling."
