Nolan welcomes extension of Banagher Enterprise Outreach Clinic
Sinn Féin TD for the Offaly and North Tipperary Constituency, Deputy Carol Nolan, has welcomed confirmation from Offaly County Council that the pilot outreach clinic for enterprises and start-ups in Banagher will continue indefinitely.
Deputy Nolan said:
“I am delighted that Offaly County Council has decided to continue with the outreach clinic in Banagher for enterprises and start-up businesses.
“The outreach clinic was the result of a proposal I put forward as a councillor to ensure that the local authority was providing supports and assistance to local businesses and start-ups.
“It appears that the clinic has been a worthwhile initiative and has been well attended since it first started in February.
“I would like to commend the officials in Offaly County Council on the initiative and their willingness to keep the clinic going.
“I have consistently highlighted the fact that Banagher has one of the highest rates of unemployment in the county with a significant number of empty premises in the town.
“The outreach clinic is currently held on the second Thursday of every month and anyone with a business query or would like to discuss a potential business start-up can make an appointment by contacting Edel on 0579357480.
“I would like to encourage any small business owners or budding entrepreneurs to please make use of this facility and if I can be of any assistance to please get in touch.”
