Narrow Water Bridge Project can play a key role in developing tourism - Ruane
Sinn Féin MLA Caitríona Ruane said the Narrow Water Bridge Project can play a key role in developing tourism in the area.
The South Down MLA was speaking after a visit from Infrastructure Minister Chris Hazzard.
Ms Ruane said:
“I welcome the visit of my colleague and Infrastructure Minister Chris Hazzard to the Narrow Water Project.
“Over 25 million tourists come into Dublin every year with approximately 5 million coming into the North.
“Being just one hour away from both the Belfast and Dublin airports this area is strategically placed and the bridge can play a key role in the development of tourism throughout the Mournes, Cooley and Slieve Gullion.
“The Narrow Water Bridge Community Network gave a very informative presentation to the Minister and we would be calling for the further development of greenways in this area.” ENDS/CRÍOCH
