Anderson tells Brokenshire to respect remain vote
Sinn Féin MEP Martina Anderson has said if the British Secretary of State wants to represent the best interests of the people of the North he should respect the vote to remain.
Ms Anderson said;
"New British Secretary of State James Brokenshire has said he is committed to representing the best interests of the people of the North.
"Well if he wants to see how the majority of people in the north think he need look no further than the results of the recent referendum when the majority clearly voted to remain in the EU.
"The best way he can represent their interests is to recognise and respect the democratically expressed views of the people."
