Leaving Cert Students should not panic as results are issued tomorrow – Nolan

16 August, 2016

Sinn Féin spokesperson on Education and Skills, Teachta Carol Nolan, has wished Leaving Cert students due to receive their results tomorrow, the very best of luck and has encouraged them not to panic if the results are not what they had hoped for.

Teachta Nolan said:

“I would like to wish all of those receiving their Leaving Cert results tomorrow the very best of luck and a huge congratulations on their achievements.

“For some the results will be in line with their hopes and others will unfortunately be disappointed not to receive the marks they had aimed for.

“I would like to reassure students that there are a wide range of options available to them and advise them not to panic over the next few days.

“Apprenticeships, further education or training, PLC courses, third level education are just a few of the exciting and rewarding routes to a bright and successful future.

“The path to success varies according to the strengths of each individual with determination, attitude and focus playing a much more important role than examination results.

“I would like to encourage all students to be proud of themselves tomorrow, irrespective of their results, to explore all the options available to them and be confident in their ability to achieve great things in the future.”
