Seeley commends work of suicide prevention groups
Sinn Féin MLA Catherine Seeley has praised the work of suicide prevention groups across Ireland.
Speaking ahead of World Suicide Prevention Day on Saturday, the Sinn Féin health spokesperson said;
"Suicide affects people from every section of society and from every walk of life.
"There can be few in our society who have not been touched by suicide in some way.
"Suicide prevention and awareness groups do excellent work to help those who are experiencing difficulties and that work must be supported.
"Suicide does not recognise borders or boundaries and neither should suicide prevention strategies.
"I would encourage anyone who is worried about their mental health or suicide to contact suicide prevention groups and seek help."
