Kearney welcomes Largy Road resurfacing scheme

27 September, 2016 - by Declan Kearney

Sinn Féín MLA Declan Kearney has welcomed the announcement of a £190,000 structural maintenance scheme for the Largy Road between Randalstown and Portglenone by the Infrastructure Minister.

The South Antrim MLA said:

“I welcome this announcement by my party colleague Chris Hazzard.

“The Largy Road links Portglenone and Randalstown and this £190,000 scheme will benefit the local community. This particular project will improve a main road artery linking South Antrim with neighbouring North Antrim and South Derry.

“The resurfacing scheme on the Largy Road from Aughnahoy Road to Carnearney Road will provide 1.5 kilometres of new asphalt road surface.

“Work will get underway on Monday 10th October and is expected to be completed by Friday 21 October.”
