30 September, 2016

Ballymun Sinn Féin Councillor Noeleen Reilly has welcomed the news that today will be the last day in prefabs for children attending Gaelscoil Bhaile Munna.

Speaking from Ballymun today, Cllr Reilly said:

“I’m delighted that this day has finally come.  Children in Ballymun have been taught in the prefabs for over twenty years.

“Many parents thought this day would never come, so it is with great relief that the School have advised parents that they will be moving into temporary accommodation from next week.

“For decades Parents, Teachers and former pupils campaigned for a permanent School building in Coultry Ballymun.

“Children will be thought in the CDETB on Ballymun Road for the next year while the new school is being built.

“The preparation works are now complete there and the school is on the move on a temporary basis.

“I look forward to the opening of the new school which will comprise of 12 classrooms, 19 on-site car parking spaces 60 cycle spaces, new hard play areas, bin enclosure and 2 basketball courts, all to the side and rear of the new school building.”
