O'Hara condemns west Belfast car thefts
Sinn Féin councillor Charlene O'Hara has condemned overnight incidents of car theft and death-driving in the Colin area of west Belfast.
Councillor O'Hara said;
"Two cars were stolen by death drivers in the Colin area of west Belfast last night night.
"One of the cars was crashed into a nearby fence causing significant damage and the other has yet to be recovered.
"Thankfully no-one was injured in these incidents but it causes considerable distress and expense to the vehicle owners and those who had their properties damaged.
"There is no place for this type of behaviour in our society. We need to end the scourge of death driving and those responsible should be brought before the courts.
"I would call on anyone with information on these incidents to bring it forward to the PSNI."
