Sinn Féin MLA Caoimhe Archibald has welcomed news that four schools in the East Derry area are to benefit from a £541,216 investment under the Department of Education’s minor works scheme.

The East Derry MLA said:

“I welcome the news that four schools in East Derry are to benefit from this investment after they were approved for capital funding.

“Drumachose Primary School in Limavady, St Canice's Primary School in Dungiven and St Patrick's & St Bridget's in Claudy will all benefit from funding for refurbishment.

"While £13,500 has been approved to convert the library at Rossmar School, Limavady, to a general classroom.

“This investment in the schools will not only help provide better facilities for our children and young people to learn in but also improve the working conditions for all staff at the schools.”
