We will explore all options to have remain vote respected - O'Dowd
Sinn Féin MLA John O'Dowd has said every legal and political option will be explored to ensure the Remain vote in the north is respected.
Speaking outside the High Court in Belfast, Mr O'Dowd said;
"We are disappointed at today's decision and we will now study the judgement and consider our options.
"We will continue to explore every legal and political pathway open to us to ensure that the vote of the 56 percent of people here who chose to remain in the EU is respected.
"It’s simply not good enough for people in leadership positions to dismiss Remainers as 'bemoaners'.
“They need to realise there is genuine concern and fear among many in our society, including the business, farming and rural communities, about where Brexit may take us.
"Those views can't be ignored or dismissed. People are entitled to have their democratic views respected."
