Anderson calls for clarity from bank over IPSC account
Sinn Féin MEP Martina Anderson has called for clarity on why a bank account belonging to the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign.
Ms Anderson said;
"The recent move by the Bank of Ireland to suspend the bank account of the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign sparked anger across the world.
"I wrote to the Chief Executive of the Bank of Ireland asking for an explanation of why the account was suspended.
"The reply set out the rules and regulations but gave no explanation behind the decision.
"We need clarity from the Bank of Ireland on this issue.
"I will be contacting Bank of Ireland again seeking a further response on the suspension of this account."
