Flynn calls on public to attend electoral registration clinics
West Belfast Sinn Féin election candidate Órlaithí Flynn has called on people to attend electoral registration clinics that have been organised over the next week.
Ms Flynn said:
“In the past few weeks over 6,000 people have been removed from the electoral register in West Belfast by the British Government.
“This is a disgraceful decision and the electorate cannot let them away with this.
“The political situation in the North of Ireland is at a critical stage.
“Sinn Féin has taken a strong stand against corruption and inequality.
“We have stood up to DUP arrogance and disrespect.
“You can send a clear message in this election. But you can only do that if you claim your right to vote and make sure you are on the register.
“I am asking people to join with us and play your part in standing up for equality, for respect and for integrity.
“Don't let your voice be silenced. Make sure you register to vote.
“The deadline for you to register to vote in the upcoming election is Tuesday 14th February.
“Make sure you attend one of the electoral registration events and ensure you are registered to vote.”
