Car attack won’t stop the democratic process – Nuala Toman

15 February, 2017 - by Nuala Toman

Sinn Féin candidate for Upper Bann, Nuala Toman, has said that an attack on party colleague Councillor Liam Mackle's car when out canvassing won't stop the democratic process.

The incident occurred in the north Lurgan area when Councillor Mackle was engaging with local residents. His vehicle was parked nearby.

Nuala Toman said:

"It is very disappointing that anyone would damage someone's vehicle in this way.

"It most definitely does not reflect the strong reception and ongoing support which Sinn Féin are receiving in this area, across Lurgan and the wider Upper Bann area - with a very clear message of bringing equality, respect and integrity to the heart of government.

"Cllr Mackle and other Sinn Féin representatives work day and daily for this community and will continue to do so. What is certain is that this attack will certainly not stop the democratic process."
