Brokenshire needs to get down to serious work – O’Neill
Sinn Féin Leader in the North Michelle O'Neill has said James Brokenshire and the British government needs to get down to some serious work in the political talks.
Michelle O'Neill said:
“The people have spoken in last week's Assembly election and have made their voice heard loud and clear.
“They want to see implementation of agreements and political institutions based on equality and respect for all and which have integrity at their heart.
“James Brokenshire is a player in these talks not some sort of bystander.
“James Brokenshire and the British government need to get down to some serious work and come forward with a plan to implement outstanding agreements.
“Unless the British government changes its approach to this process there will be no progress.”
