Mary Lou McDonald MEP to host homelessness conference in European Parliament
Sinn Féin National Chairperson and MEP for Dublin Mary Lou McDonald will host a major anti-homelessness conference in conjunction with FEANTSA (the European Federation of National Organisations working with the Homeless). The conference is entitled: "What action is Europe taking to tackle homelessness?"
The day long conference will be held at the European Parliament in Brussels this coming Monday (23rd May 2005) and will be attended by over 100 people from approximately 30 countries, including representatives of the European Parliament, Commission, national parliaments and NGO organisations from across Europe.
Ms McDonald will be joined at the conference by Arthur Morgan TD, party spokesperson on Environment and Local Government and Employment and Fra McCann MLA, party spokesperson on Housing.
