20 May, 2017 - by Jemma Dolan

Sinn Féin MLA Jemma Dolan has called on Tom Elliott and Arlene Foster to disassociate themselves from sexist and outrageous remarks made at an event in an Orange Hall in Fermanagh in support of Mr Elliott’s election campaign.

Jemma Dolan said:

“It has been reported that sexist and outrageous remark were made by a minister at an event this morning held in an Orange Hall in Enniskillen in support of Tom Elliott’s election campaign.

“The minister referred to Arlene Foster’s disgraceful comments last week but also made an extraordinary and outrageous comment about ‘hydrogen peroxide that’s dying the hair isn’t going into creamery cans to make explosives’.

“Tom Elliott and Arlene Foster were both at this event. I’m calling on them to dissociate themselves immediately from this sexist, disrespectful and nasty commentary.”
