Concerted effort in North Belfast to remove Sinn Féin election posters - Kelly

3 June, 2017 - by Gerry Kelly

Sinn Féin MLA and election agent for John Finucane in the forthcoming Westminster election, Gerry Kelly MLA, has slammed those responsible for the removal of Sinn Féin election posters along the North Circular road in North Belfast.

 Speaking today Mr Kelly said:

“There has been a concerted effort to remove Sinn Féin election posters in North Belfast and further afield.

“It is no coincidence that as these poster are removed DUP posters remain. Loyalist flags have been erected in place of our posters.

“It is an attack on the democratic process but clearly indicative that there are those who will do whatever they can to try to halt change.

“The best thing for the electorate to do is to give a clear answer to those behind the removal of these poster and come out on June the 8th and vote Sinn Féin.”
