Gerry Adams TD welcomes return of Seamus Ruddy remains
Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams TD has welcomed news that the remains of Seamus Ruddy will be returned to Ireland last today for burial by his family.
The remains of Mr. Ruddy were recovered by the Independent Commission for the Location of Victims' Remains (ICLVR) at Pont-de-l'Arche near Rouen in early May.
Gerry Adams said:
“I want to welcome the return by the Independent Commission for the Location of Victims' Remains (ICLVR) of the remains of Seamus Ruddy to Ireland and to his family who have campaigned tirelessly for decades for this outcome.
“Efforts must now continue to recover the three remaining bodies.
“I would appeal to anyone with information to come forward.”
