DUP have accepted Brexit at any cost with Tory deal - O'Dowd
Sinn Féin MLA John O'Dowd has said the DUP has accepted Brexit at any cost as a result of their deal with the Tory government.
John O'Dowd said:
"At the end of a week of talks between the EU and the British government it is clear there is no plan and no understanding by the Tories of the impact of Brexit on the North.
"The DUP as part of the deal to support the Tory government of Theresa May signed up to all their proposals on Brexit.
"It is now clear that the Tories have no plan and no concern about the impact of Brexit on our economy, our rights, our agreements, our public services and protecting the Good Friday Agreement.
"It is clear the Tory deal with the DUP is about narrow party interests and not the interests of the people here.
"In doing so they have accepted Brexit at any cost, regardless of its impact here."
