Gerry Adams TD extends condolences to family and friends of Kevin McNamara
Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams TD has expressed his deep sadness at the death of Kevin McNamara. The Sinn Féin leader extended his “sincerest condolences to Kevin McNamara’s wife Nora, his children, family circle and many friends.
Gerry Adams said:
“Ba mhaith liom mo chomhbhrón a thaispáint le clann Kevin McNamaraan ar fad.
“I was deeply saddened to learn of Kevin’s death.
“In his long and distinguished career in the British Parliament Kevin was well known for his outspoken criticism of many aspects of British policy in the North and in defence of human rights.
"He advocated for closer greater cooperation and harmonisation between the North and South; supported the efforts to establish the peace process, and was well known for his support for Irish unity.
"To his wife Nora and his four children, I want to extend Sinn Féin condolences on his death."
