Delay in funding to victims’ families is shameful – Molloy

27 September, 2017 - by Francie Molloy

Francie Molloy MP has called on British Secretary of State James Brokenshire to immediately release inquest funding for victims’ families.

The Mid Ulster MP was speaking at Belfast’s High Court today, where a protest took place by the Loughgall, Ballymurphy and McGurk’s Bar families.

 Francie Molloy said:

“I attended this protest today to support these families in their demand that the British Secretary of State immediately release legacy inquest funding.

“It is unacceptable that families of victims have been waiting for over 40 years for inquests into the death of their loved one.

“This would not be acceptable anywhere else on these islands and it should not be acceptable or tolerated here.”
