Gerry Adams to visit the Rossport 5 in Cloverhill prison on Saturday morning

1 July, 2005

Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams MP will be visiting Micheál Ó Seighin, Vincent McGrath, Philip McGrath, Willie Corduff and Brendan Philbin in Cloverhill Prison on Saturday morning, 2nd July, at 10.30am. Mr. Adams will be accompanied by Mayo County Councillor Gerry Murray.

He will be available to talk to the media afterwards.

Mr. Adams has described the jailing of the five Mayo men, on foot of their protest against the Corrib gas pipeline, as a disgrace. He has called for their immediate release and for the lifting of injunctions against others involved.
