Reilly calls for M3 to include bridges to provide for reopening of Dublin - Navan rail line

Meath Sinn Féin Councillor Joe Reilly has called for bridges to be included during the construction of the controversial M3 to provide for the reopening of the Dublin to Navan rail line.

Councillor Reilly was speaking today as an environmental activist took proceedings to the High Court aimed at securing the rerouting of the M3 motorway away from the Hill of Tara.

He said, "An Bord Pleaneála recently stipulated that the N6 in Co. Galway must have bridges included during its construction to facilitate a possible reopening of the Athenry to Limerick rail line. The same must be stipulated for the M3 to provide for the possible reopening of the Dublin to Navan rail line.
