Petition opposing the unmanning of DART stations to be presented to Minister Ross – Brady
Sinn Féin TD for Wicklow/East Carlow John Brady will present Minister Shane Ross with a petition containing over 3,000 signatures opposing the unmanning of DART stations along with disabilities campaigner Padraic Moran in the Dáil this week.
Speaking ahead of the meeting with Minister Ross, Teachta Brady said:
“Back in December, I launched a petition calling on Minister Ross to resist any plans by Irish Rail to unman the majority of DART stations. Thousands signed the online petition and it will now be presented to Minister Ross this week.
“I have arranged for Disabilities campaigner Padraic Moran to meet with Minister Ross to share first-hand experience of the difficulties he himself has faced when it comes to accessing public transport.
“The online petition calling on Minister Ross to put an end to Irish Rail's plans of unmanning DART stations can be found at www.change.org/p/minister-shane-ross-oppose-the-unmanning-of-dart-and-train-stations and will be available to sign up until Thursday.”
