22 February, 2018 - by Paul Maskey

Sinn Féin MP Paul Maskey has said the final exterior drawings of the new £25 million Andersonstown Leisure Centre show what an asset it will be to West Belfast.

The West Belfast MP said:

“The state-of-the-art Andersonstown Leisure Centre will offer much more than a place to train or relax in, it will be an asset to West Belfast and its residents.

“These facilities will improve the users’ health by encouraging more people to live a healthy and active lifestyle. Sport and exercise are extremely powerful tools in helping tackle mental health problems and improving positive wellbeing.

“Sinn Féin look forward to the opening of these top-class facilities which include a large family fun focused area of leisure water, a 25m six lane pool with 50 spectator seats, a 140-station fitness suite, a multipurpose room and a range of outdoor provision such as five-a-side pitches.

“This is another example of how Sinn Féin continue to deliver on their promise of ensuring the people of West Belfast have state-of-the-art facilities.”
