Carol Nolan TD calls for emergency relief fund
Sinn Féin spokesperson for community and rural affairs Carol Nolan has called on the Government to establish a Relief Fund to mitigate the damage and hardship caused by Storm Emma.
Teachta Nolan asked the Taoiseach to provide additional funding for road repairs and an emergency fund for farmers.
Deputy Nolan said;
"I commend the responses of the emergency services, the Local Authorities and the farming community during the crisis and stated that many farmers will have experienced losses and a fund should be put in place to assist in alleviating any hardship caused by the inclement weather."
