There can be no delay or denial of rights to citizens - O’Neill
Speaking following a meeting with the British Secretary of State, Michelle O'Neill said:
“Today we met with Karen Bradley, to make it clear that there can be no delay or denial of rights to citizens.
“There is an onus on the governments to convene the British Irish Intergovernmental Conference to secure the full implementation of the agreements including language rights, resolve legacy issues and equality measures.
“We also raised our concerns with the boundary commission recommendations that amount to gerrymandering.
“We made clear that any future talks cannot be downwards from the draft agreement and must deliver rights.
“The British government cannot continue to frustrate progress by their inaction.”
