Adjustments to Sinn Féin Oireachtas team
Sinn Féin Leader Mary Lou McDonald TD has announced a number of adjustments to Sinn Féin’s Oireachtas team as a result of recent suspensions from the party.
Speaking today Teachta McDonald said;
“Martin Kenny TD is to take on the role of spokesperson on Rural and Community Development and will replace Carol Nolan on the Joint Oireachtas Committee. He will carry out this role alongside his current role as spokesperson on Agriculture and the Marine.
“In addition to his current role as Seanad spokesperson on Seanad and LGBTQI+ Affairs, Senator Fintan Warfield will be our Seanad spokesperson on Children and Youth Affairs and will replace Máire Devine on the Oireachtas Committee.
“Senator Paul Gavan will be the party’s Seanad spokesperson on Social Protection and retains his current role as Seanad Workers’ Rights spokesperson. He is also the Seanad Whip.
“And Senator Niall Ó Donnghaile will take on the Health and Mental Health portfolio and will replace Senator Máire Devine on the Oireachtas Committee on the Future of Mental Health Care. He is also currently the party’s Seanad spokesperson on All Ireland Integration and Justice.”
