Molloy to address Palestine solidarity rally in London
Sinn Féin MP, Francie Molloy, will speak at a rally in London on Saturday, calling for an end to Israeli violence against the Palestinians.
Francie Molloy MP said:
“The international community has watched in outrage as Palestinians taking part in legitimate protests in Gaza were attacked by the Israeli military, who fired thousands of rounds indiscriminately at the demonstrators. More than 20 people have been murdered, and over 1,500 wounded.
"The response of the Israeli state and their military has been to further attack the dignity of the murdered and wounded. They have refused to investigate their soldiers’ actions.
"The international community has consistently failed to defend the rights of the Palestinian people who face flagrant human rights abuses on a daily basis. In the wake of this latest massacre, too many remain silent. Israel must be held accountable for this atrocity.
“The British government has shown unconditional support for the rights abuses, military occupation, and crimes against humanity perpetrated by the Israeli government. They too must be held to account for this support by the international community.
“Furthermore, An Taoiseach should expel the Israeli Ambassador and officially recognise the state of Palestine as approved by the Dáil in 2014. There can be no further delay.”
