Logue condemns arson attack on Crumlin home

8 April, 2018 - by Anne-Maire Logue

Sinn Féin Councillor Anne Marie Logue has condemned an arson attack on a family home in Crumlin in the early hours of Saturday.

Cllr Logue said:

“This was a cowardly attack on a family home in the early hours of the morning, putting the lives of the occupants at serious risk while they slept.

“The victims of this despicable arson have lost their family car, suffered fire damage to their home and have been severely traumatised as a result.

“The outcome of any arson attack is totally unpredictable. It has the potential to take lives, especially when it is carried out in the early hours when the perpetrators know their victims will be fast asleep.

“It is essential that those responsible are apprehended as quickly as possible and made answerable before the courts.

“I would therefore appeal to anyone who has any information relating to this arson attack to contact the police on their non-emergency number 101, or the charity Crimestoppers number 0800 555 111.”
