Brady welcomes border visit by Labour MEPs
Sinn Fein MP Mickey Brady has welcomed confirmation that a delegation of Labour MEP's are to visit the border region tomorrow.
The Newry-Armagh MP said it would be an opportunity for the seven MEP's to "see and hear the harsh reality of Brexit for border communities".
Mickey Brady added: “I welcome the interest of these Labour MEPs. The intense lobbying and campaigning by Sinn Fein MEPs in Brussels, Dublin and London has alerted many politicians to the enormous damage that Brexit threatens to bring to Ireland generally and border communities in particular.
"I would urge this delegation to listen carefully to the concerns of local people and avoid the tokenism we saw from David Davis.
"As the local MP I am very happy to welcome them to this constituency."
