DUP vote for cover up by blocking disclosure of papers to Windrush generation - Maskey
Sinn Féin MP Paul Maskey has said the DUP have voted for a cover up by blocking the disclosure of papers to the Windrush generation.
The West Belfast said:
"Its is disappointing but hardly surprising that the DUP voted along with their Tory masters to block the disclosure of documents on the British government's immigration policy in light of the Windrush scandal.
"By taking the Tory whip on this vote the DUP have essentially voted for a cover-up.
"This flies in the face of any claims to support accountability and transparency in the political process.
"For many years the DUP have backed British government efforts to deny access to truth to families here in the north and now it seems they are doing the same to the Windrush generation."
