23 May, 2018 - by Francie Molloy

Francie Molloy MP has reiterated Sinn Féin’s support for the people of Palestine following attending an event in London regarding the relocation of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

The Mid Ulster MP has said,

“Sinn Féin has consistently condemned the oppression and denial of rights to the Palestinian people by the Israeli state.

“Following recent mass killings of Palestinians by Israeli forices, Sinn Féin has called for the expelling of the Israeli ambassador in Ireland and have called for the formal recognition of the state of Palestine.

“The reality is that the Palestinian’s land being stolen away from them.

“Hundreds of thousands of Israeli settlers live on Palestinian land in violation of UN resolutions.

“Palestinians are in a situation in which their water rights are taken, they live in poverty and disadvantage and are denied the right of freedom of movement. This is wholly undemocratic, unjustified and unacceptable.”
