Sinn Féin condemns attempts to undermine community relations in South Belfast
Sinn Féin MLA for South Belfast, Councillor Alex Maskey has today condemned the scrawling of political graffiti in the Wedderburn Park area of Finaghy Road South in South Belfast. Mr Maskey condemned the graffiti and said that such acts should 'cease immediately'.
Speaking today Councillor Maskey said:
"Sinn Féin has been working alongside others in the Finaghy Road area of South Belfast to help create a climate of dialogue between local communities to resolve differences and find a common solution to problems facing the area.
"Therefore, I condemn those involved in such provocation in a predominantly protestant area of the city. Such wanton destruction is unwanted and intimidatory. Sinn Féin is unequivocal in our call for such acts to cease immediately." ENDS
