Speaking after the meeting the party’s spokesperson for health Pat Sheehan said:

”We pressed the Permanent Secretary today regarding the publication of the inquiry panel's Terms of Reference.

"While the Terms of Reference should be published soon they must be clear and robust.

"This week we published Sinn Féin's priorities concerning a Terms of Reference.

"These include the inquiry panel having full access to evidence; being transparent; accountable; timely and independent."

Fermanagh South Tyrone MLA Colm Gildernew added:

"The wellbeing of patients including progress in the neurology recall review process must be priority.

"However, it is vital that the circumstances concerning this scandal are investigated fully to get a true understanding of what happened, and why it happened.

"The Independent Inquiry Panel, needs to establish robust Terms of Reference as a matter of urgency, and publish its findings and recommendations in a timely matter.”
