Sinn Féin MLA condemns racist attacks in Dungannon
Sinn Féin MLA for Mid Ulster Francie Molloy has condemned attacks upon the ethnic minority community in Dungannon last night, forcing a number of families to flee their homes. Mr Molloy said that a 'thug elememt in the area is intent on whipping up racist tensions and forcing people from their homes.'
Speaking today Mr Molloy said:
"I want to condemn last night's attacks in Dungannon in the strongest terms possible. A number of people were forced to flee their homes after they were attacked.
"There is a thug elememt in the area intent on whipping up racist tensions and forcing people from their homes. The vast majority of people in Dungannon are sickened by these attacks on their community. A clear signal must be sent out to the racists that they will not win". ENDS
