Monuments and memorials should be respected - Ennis

4 October, 2018 - by Sinéad Ennis

Sinn Féin MLA Sinéad Ennis has said monuments and memorials are important places in communities and should be respected.

The South Down MLA was speaking after wreaths at Narrow Water in Warrenpoint were vandalised.

Sinéad Ennis said:

"These wreaths have been subject to vandalism on a number of occasions in recent months and I condemn this act outright.

"Monuments and memorials are important places in communities and should be respected.

"Anyone with information on this incident should contact the PSNI."
