PSNI must step up to tackle anti-social behaviour’ - Duffy

13 October, 2018 - by Paul Duffy

Sinn Féin Councillor Paul Duffy has called for the PSNI to increase patrols in the Ballyoran Park area to tackle the rise in anti-social behaviour. Councillor Paul Duffy said:“I have been raising the issue of anti-social behaviour in Ballyoran park at all levels for months now. “There have been various meetings with council officials and statutory agencies in an attempt to tackle this problem. “Last week I held a public meeting to hear the concerns of residents who are being tormented in their own homes day and night.“This escalated on Friday evening when a fight broke out and two teenagers were stabbed and hospitalised. “This cannot continue and I am appealing to parents to discourage their young people from gathering in this area. “Myself and Sinn Féin MLA John O’Dowd are seeking an urgent meeting with the PSNI to demand a greater policing presence in the area to remove the scourge of anti-social behaviour.”
