‘I won’t be deterred by criminal threats’ - Sheehan
Sinn Féin MLA Pat Sheehan has said he will not be deterred from his work after the PSNI informed him that criminal elements had made a threat against him.
The West Belfast MLA and former hunger striker said: “The PSNI called to my home tonight to tell me they had information that there is a threat against me.
“They said it emanated from criminal elements who may be planning to take some kind of action against me.
“Whoever this threat stems from, it will not deter me or my party from representing the people of West Belfast.
“The people behind these kind of faceless threats have nothing to offer this community.
“They will certainly not prevent me from continuing to stand up for the rights and entitlements of all the people of West Belfast as I have been l elected to do.”
