Dillon backs pension for all those injured in the conflict
Sinn Féin MLA Linda Dillon attended a launch by WAVE Trauma Group in the Royal Victoria Hospital of a photographic exhibition of people who suffered life-changing injuries during the conflict.
The Mid-Ulster MLA said:
“This was a very moving event.
“The overwhelming message from today’s photographic exhibition and event was that those injured as a result of the conflict need to be afforded a pension.
“In our recent submission to the consultation on the legacy mechanisms Sinn Féin reiterated to the British Secretary of State the need for a pension for all those injured as a result of the conflict.
“She needs to put that in place now as it is important to allow those people injured to be afforded dignity, quality of life and independence.”
